Dr Flood is chief medical officer of Flood Family Medical Center. Originally from Prairieville, LA, Dr Flood completed her undergraduate training at University of New Orleans with a degree in Bachelors of Science. After graduating in 2000, she later attended medical school in the United Kingdom and completed her medical school degree in 2007. Dr Flood completed her residency training at Baton Rouge General Family Residency Program in 2010. She is board certified in Family Medicine.
After graduating from Residency, Dr Flood worked with a renowned endocrinologist at the Metabolic Center of Louisiana, Baton Rouge, LA. It was here whereby Dr Flood was mentored and gained vast work experience and knowledge with metabolic and endocrine disorders and discovered her passion to continue in this scope of practice.
Dr Flood is married with two children and resides in Ascension parish where she is originally from. She enjoys quality time with her family, traveling and attending sporting events.
Kady Lato is a Nurse Practitioner at Flood Family Medical Center (FFMC). A Baton Rouge native, she attended the University of South Alabama (USA) where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After working six years as a critical care nurse, Kady pursued and earned a Master’s of Science in USA’s nurse practitioner program, which prepared her in advanced family practice and patient-centered healthcare delivery. After working locally as a nurse practitioner, she now pursues her passion of providing family practice healthcare services at FFMC. Her areas of professional interest include endocrine and metabolic disorders.
Kady was recently married; she and her husband live in Prairieville. She likes to travel, pursues physical fitness activities and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Willis grew up in Pensacola and attended Pensacola High School and Pensacola State College. He got his BS degree and MD degree from the University of Florida. He did his internship and residency in Family Medicine in Roanoke, VA then moved back to Pensacola to begin his practice. Dr. Willis is married with three children and six grandchildren. Dr. Willis has served in the past on the staffs of both Baptist and Sacred Heart hospital. He now refers hospital care to all three hospitals which also includes West Florida Hospital. Dr. Willis is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine and the Florida Medical Association. He is also a member and past president of the Escambia County Medical Society. Outside of his practice he is an avid golfer, saltwater fisherman and a long time fan of the Florida Gators.
Dr. Alain Chesnut was born in November 1972, in the city of Norman, Oklahoma. During early childhood, his father worked in the oil industry and moved the family overseas. They lived in Europe, Africa and South America finally settling in South Louisiana. Alain started his education in Houma, LA at Acadian Elementary School. Due to the ever-changing economy the family moved again to Lake Charles, LA where they lived for several more years. It wasn’t until entering middle school that life would bring them back to Houma. Alain Chesnut attended Houma Jr. High and later graduated from Terrebonne High School. Early in high school fostered by a deep love for people and the intricacies of science he planned to pursue the study of Medicine. He attended Nicholls State University and later transferred to The University of Southwestern LA in Lafayette where he attained a Bachelors of Science in Biology.
The study of Medicine was put on hold. He met and married his wife Stacey. Initially, he worked as an oilfield service technician, ever the nomad, working on several rigs throughout the Gulf.
The young couple moved back to Houma and Alain spent ten years working locally with his wife’s family business Antique Brick, learning the ropes of the building industry while selling bricks. They had three children along the way. At the age of 35, following the sale of the family business, a dormant dream resurfaced fueled by passion and courage. The Chesnut family left their home in Houma to live and study Medicine abroad. A fourth child was born and the family was complete.
Four rigorous years of Medical school passed. The third and fourth years of clinical training were spent back in Houma at Leonard J Chabert, a true blessing. This was followed by three years of postgraduate medical training in Internal Medicine at Leonard J Chabert where the dream became a reality. At long last, with constant support from a loving wife and children friends and family, the boyhood dreams to take care of the needy and make a positive impact in people’s life was realized. He became Dr. Alain Chesnut, ready to provide care to his family, friends and community in the Heart of South Louisiana.
Craig Wade, M.D., a Mississippi native, received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. His medical career began in the field of nursing from 1997-2006 in Mississippi and California while serving in various supervisory capacities in critical care and the emergency department.
Always having a stronger calling for medicine and a desire to help patients, Dr. Wade decided to pursue is doctor of medicine degree. Therefore, the Wade family left their home in Mississippi to live and study medicine abroad at Ross University School of Medicine. Completing medical school in 2011, Dr. Wade then completed his Internal Medicine residency training with Louisiana State University at Leonard J Chabert Medical Center from 2011-2014. Upon completion of training the Wade family became rooted in the community and decided to call Houma their permanent home. Dr. Wade joined the TGMC active medical staff in 2014.
Dr. Jennifer Garrett is a family medicine doctor in New Orleans, Louisiana and is affiliated with Touro Infirmary. She received her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and has been in practice for 14 years. She is one of 12 doctors at Touro Infirmary who specialize in Family Medicine.
Dr. Lorri Phipps considers it a privilege to care for your child. With more than 20 years of experience as a nationally board certified pediatric nurse practitioner, her dream of owning her own pediatric practice came true when Mainstreet Pediatrics opened in 2017. With her extensive experience caring for children in a variety of settings and treating children with complex medical needs, Dr. Phipps consistently applies her core values of honor, courage, and commitment to her practice every day.
